  Mission Statement

The mission statement of the Santa Maria Mural Society is to bring together community members to plan, support and create murals that depict the history and cultural diversity of Santa Maria, thereby increasing the beauty, integrity and economic growth of the city for its' residents, businesses, and visitors.

The mural society plans the completion of three murals in Santa Maria this year. The projects planned for 2005 and the future represents Santa Maria's history, such as Santa Maria valleys' vineyards, wineries, strawberry fields, agriculture, Elks Rodeo, Old Maude, oil production and the railroad.  The Santa Maria murals will beautify and unify the community with common goals of revitalizing the downtown by making Santa Maria a hub instead of a stopover for tourists.

The SMMS meets the second Thursday of every month @ 4:00 PM located at 2429Professional Parkway, Suite 103, at the office of Edward Jones.
